Winfast Pvr2 Windows Xp
Anyway I can get my old graphic card to work on windows 7? Ive tried the search and nothing is really showing up. Thanks: Graphic Cards: WinFast TV 2000 XP Deluxe Edition // Windows 7 Hi from Poland. Long time ago I bought WinFast TV 2000 XP Deluxe Edition. Apr 5, 2016 - The WinFast PVR2 application allows you to view and record live TV or video, and playback. It won't let me make a new topic, probably because I am noob here. Here is the topic I want to make, if someone can tell me how or where to post it, or post it for me (or if a mod can do it) I'd really appreciate it.
Tv tuner card and Foxtel Digital I've been watching Foxtel through my Lifeview 3000 card (analogue) for about 4 years or more. With Win XP and free Dscaler program since the default software was garbage. I use A/V input from Foxtel Digital to the yellow video input on the back back of the TV card. I'm a noob when it comes to proper media centre PC's and the latest hardware (and all connectivity and the right cables) so bear with me. I'm building a new PC and will be sticking with XP. And getting Windows 7 at a later time, maybe next year. I want to know if I would benefit from getting a new card.
Would it have a sharper image? This would help because I'm going from 19' to 23' monitor. I heard somewhere that Foxtel has no digital input and it needs to be analogue. So it'd need to be a hybrid card.
Would I need to use the latest software or would Dscaler still be okay (I really like it, and the flexibility it gives in aspect ratios etc). The budget I have would be for something like this. Since the older card is 4 years + old, I'm a little worried if it stopped working what I would do. Do the newer ones have improved image quality or are they similar to the older ones?
How long will analogue cards still be available? At the moment the bottleneck in quality seems to be the input. For example the movie channels are sharper, and other sitcom channels are worse (due to bitrates I guess). The VCR playback doesn't look too good, unless you sit back from the monitor, which I do. I noticed a difference in sharpness from switching from Foxtel analogue to digital, even though it's an analogue card. Does this make sense?
The card's picture doesn't seem toooo bad, but I'm curious if these newer ones improve things or not. Also, is there a better way to connect the digital box to the card to improve the picture? I also, only get mono sound, not stereo.
Which sucks but I just put up with it. I need to use a left right channel converter (to 1 input), because I plug it into the line in part of my sound card.
Can anyone help me? It's hard to find info on this type of stuff. And I don't know much about all the inputs or different quality specs. Hi, I have an issue with Winfast PVR2 (20328), DTV1000T, P5QL Pro and Windows 7 (32bits). The tuner works fine, and the recordings are ok with. But, I plug a numeric recepter in the S-Video connection to record (encryted french channels).
And the MPEG2 recordings are now awful: the sound is desynchronized and not from the beginning (that would be too simple), but randomly. At the beginning, everything is fine, and sometimes after 30 minutes, sometimes after 2 hours, the sound is not synchronized anymore (and by 1440ms, 700ms, 2500ms. Everytime is different). And of course, it doesn't happen everytime, but almost. I tried several things: - sound drivers from Asus website and last versions (2.38, 2.39) - Winfast PVR2 20324 but seems it doesn't like Aero, which is a little annoying and the problem is still present - Microphone and line in - several Ati drivers - same deal with MPEG1 - sound stays synchronized in live - records seem ok with CyberLink PowerDirector (trial version) but it has no scheduler, it's really not useful. It's really an important thing to me: I record movies in MPEG2 from movie channels like that, then edit them with Videoredo and encode in Xvid. Now, I'm two seconds away to reinstall Windows XP somewhere on my HD only to use Winfast PVR2 and it's a shame, because other than that, Windows 7 is a great deal.
Is there a way or I just doomed? Is there another software with DTV 1000 compatibility, scheduler, MPEG2, SVHS compliant? Thanks for any help. At the beginning, everything is fine, and sometimes after 30 minutes, sometimes after 2 hours, the sound is not synchronized anymore (and by 1440ms, 700ms, 2500ms. Everytime is different). Have you tried defragmenting the drive you are capturing to? A fragmented drive can often give similar symptoms. You should defrag once a week.
I recommend using a freeware program called JKdefrag or the newer MyDefrag. The windows defragger doesn't quite cut it.

The windows defragger doesn't quite cut it. I don't use the analogin very often but I do occasionally use it to record a VCR.
I've had pretty good success using virtualdub (freeware) the picvideo mjpeg codec (unfortunately not freeware) to capture analog on the DTV1000-T card. After capture I import the mjpeg files into Ulead Movie Factory to make it into a DVD. I know this mean encoding twice, mjpeg realtime at capture and then to mpeg2 during conversion to DVD, but it works well. Quick question about the DTV1000-T. Say if Australia switches over to mpeg4 (instead of current mpeg2) for DTV some time in the future, will this card be able to cope with the change with perhaps a software update only?
Anyone know anything about this? I think it's super unlikely that that will happen. But to answer your question - if it did happen, then the hardware itself is not affected.

The cards just pick out the stream without understanding or caring about the MPEG data. So long as you have software that can decode the data, it will work. Just a quick question. In the winfast pvr2 software is there any way to extend/resize the channel list box that pops up when you want to change channels? Im running xp at the moment and its annoying having to scroll through the list to get the top or bottom channels that are no shown. When there is plenty of screen realestate to display all the channels at once. As sometimes the list will only stay on the screen for a short period.
Like 3 seconds then suddenly close before I get a chance to choose a different channel. Edited January 27, 2010 by g12345567.

Like 3 seconds then suddenly close before I get a chance to choose a different channel. There are only two options as far as I'm aware. 1)Use the wheel on your mouse to scroll up and down. 2) Delete the 'excess' (duplicate) channels (this is what I do) Not really the answer you were looking for tho Herbernator.
A few years ago I installed a DTV1000S card into my PC and installed the included WinFast PVR2 version 2.0.2.29. Since that time I have never updated the drivers or software as they seem to work OK for me, (if it ain't broke, don't fix it). Anyway, I recently built a new PC and bought another DTV1000S card to install into that, the new card comes with WinFast PVR2 version 2.0.3.18, (according to the readme file). Now, before installing the new card into my new PC, I remebered a while ago there was talk on this forum that WinFast PVR2 was using a new codec from Arcsoft, which some people were saying installs some sort of spyware. After searching this thread, I managed to find some posts dating back to July 2008 that say this new codec from Arcsoft appeared in WinFast PVR2 version 2.0.3.7.
Looking at the Leadtek website, the newest verion of WinFast PVR2 is version 2.0.3.28. So what version do people recommend to install? Do the newer versions still use this 'suspicious' Arcsoft codec, or has Leadtek got rid of it in later versions of WinFast PVR2?

LOL - Yeah I do remember Arcsoft codec use powerful spyware and which destroy and crippled my PC very nasty that was some years ago. Now OK with WinFast PVR2 is version 2.0.3.28. Hi I have got a problem with the size of my recording i am using an winfast 1000s with windows 7 64 bit when i record i use mpeg 2 format i recorded 1 hour worth of tv and it was 9 gigs file size You have probably got it set to save the entire transport stream to disk (ie. The full 23Mbps with every channel transmitted by the network, as well as any and all null packets).

If you go into the configuration menu to the capture settings page, you should be able to adjust this to something more reasonable such as a single program stream or transport stream. Edited March 26, 2010 by ChaosMaster. I've recently built a new PC using Windows 7 64 Ultimate running on an i7 920. I now have 2 DTV1000S cards installed and I'm using the included Windows Media Centre software.
Winfast Pvr2 Windows 10
It works like a charm. Even allows default settings for extra record time prior to and after program scheduled finish. The software records in a format called WTV. This can converted to Mpeg2 by using a freebie called DVRMS Toolbox.

The only issue I've had is getting the PC to sleep again after a recording is complete. I found the guy at had the tool to fix that. In short, way more powerful than the Winfast PVR app.

The only issue I've had is getting the PC to sleep again after a recording is complete. I found the guy at had the tool to fix that. In short, way more powerful than the Winfast PVR app. Haven't installed windows 7 yet. About to do so with windows 7 64 Bit. Not sure if my DTV-1000t will still work in windows 7 64bit. It a pitty windows media center software only records in a priority WTV format and not MPEG2.
As I like to record on my tv and watch the recodings back over the network on my tv using a media player without the hassle of having to convert the files before playback. In the mean time still using windows xp pro and Winfast PVR2 software v2.0.3.28 works well but has problem in that its very slow in changing channels. Pauses and takes around 8 seconds to change channels. Problem is fixed in latest version 2.0.3.32. Although I had to rescan to do a rescan after the they introduced the 3D TV TRIAL channel, which caused channel 10 HD to not load correctly. Only other problem is when I do a scan here in Sydney does not pickup new Digital TVS channel.
But can if frequency is manually entered (536.625). But can't submit change because a manually added channel does not get listed in the frequencies.txt file so I can't submit the new channel to Leadtek. According to this earlier post. Can uasily be done. Tv station logos can be found over on this other on other thread Just need to resize them for use with winfast pvr2 software. Edited May 19, 2010 by g12345567. My DTV-1000T worked fine with Windows7 64bit and Windows Media Centre apart from being fairly slow to do anything.Maybe it's the operator Edited May 19, 2010 by Illinbah. Thanks for that. Does the winfast PVR2 software run in windows 7 64bit? I ask because in a previous post above its reported that the windows software can be used but does not record in mpeg2 format only some special format that needs to be converted.
I could not get the winfast software to recognise the card. It kept reporting no device found. This is a bummer as I too would like to record in mpeg2 format. I find the windows media centre software slow and unwieldy even though I am running an i3 530 processor.
If you have any hints on how to speed it up they would be appreciated. Edited May 20, 2010 by Illinbah.
